Renaissance Orthopaedics' Orthopaedic Program is at the forefront of implementing Patient and Family Centered Care. Our programs focus on wellness, developing team spirit and a sense of community, which can reduce the anxiety that is normal with any surgery. Patient centeredness is the cornerstone of the kind of care that we provide our patients and their families during their hospital experiences.

Our goals are to create a stress-free hospital experience and obtain 100% patient and family satisfaction. We strive for a speedy and healthy recovery and to maximize improvement in our patients' outcome. To achieve these goals the program consists of a special team and a process that focuses on patients' and families' needs.

Our promise is to always try to provide first-class treatment during all visits, both in the office and hospital. We encourage and welcome our patients to bring family members with them for additional support. During preoperative visits, a history and physical of the patient is obtained. EKGs, blood work, chest x-rays and any other necessary testing are also performed. Education classes and notebooks are provided, allowing patients and family members an opportunity to ask questions and to discuss their operative procedure, hospital stay and postoperative recovery. A social worker is available to assist the healthcare team with any concerns and discharge needs. An anesthesiologist from our program is also available to discuss any special anesthesia or pain management concerns or needs. You will receive this in your first visit. . . and all in two hours or less!

In addition, the program's unique Inpatient "Wellness Unit" is a state-of-the-art facility. The unit is designed to provide a comfortable, relaxed setting for patients and families to enjoy. Our unit has large private rooms and a special Family Community Room. All of the rooms are equipped with internet access. Full café-style room service allows patients to order directly from a menu at any time of the day or night. The Family Room has many unique characteristics such as rocking chairs and couches, a big screen TV, a massage chair and a fully stocked refrigerator for patients and their families. Our program also includes a state-of-the-art gym and workout area right on the unit. Our therapists help patients get out of bed and begin walking on the day of surgery!

The Orthopaedic Program also offers other amenities which include valet parking, a massage therapist for patients and, coming soon, a concierge service to help reduce and eliminate delays for arrivals and discharges at the hospital entrances.
